Deepa Korea MBE

Deepa is currently Director of the RCN Foundation, which supports nurses, midwives, nursing associates and healthcare support workers. She began her career as a researcher and speech-writer for the leader of a political party, moving on to work in the public sector, before finally finding her true calling in the not-for-profit sector.
She has over 25 years’ experience and has worked in a wide range of roles in the education, disability and health sectors. Deepa is also Vice Chair of a University Board of Governors.
In 2025, Deepa was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in His Majesty the King’s 2026 New Year Honours for services to nursing and midwifery.
