Amanda Hinkley MSc (OH), RGN, FFOHN

Amanda Hinkley is Head of Occupational Health at the UK Health Security Agency and Chair of the Faculty for Occupational Health Nurses (FOHN) / Society of Occupational Medicine. She is a senior occupational health leader with over 30 years’ experience shaping services across policing, the NHS, national public health, and complex multi sector organisations.

Amanda began her career in occupational health in 1990 and completed an MSc in Occupational Health at the Robens Centre, University of Surrey, with published research on lower back pain in police officers, supported by a Home Office Police Research Award.

As Chair of FOHN, Amanda leads national professional representation for occupational health nurses, promoting accreditation, evidence based practice, and leadership capability across the profession. A Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Health Nursing, she is a strong advocate for demonstrating the strategic value of occupational health nursing in workforce health, wellbeing, and public health nursing .

A passionate advocate for professional development, Amanda is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Health Nursing, a national OH mentor, and represents OH nursing leadership at a national level including the CNO Public Health Nursing Group.
